Distribution and Habitat: Tropical and South Africa, Madagascar, Asia, China etc.

Botany:  Slender twiner. 

  • Leaves: Broadly ovate, acuminate, sum acute, entire, glabrous or more or less pubescent.
  • Flowers: Rather small, one or two together. Corolla infundibuliform, yellow or white with plaits yellowish, with a small purple eye.
  • Fruit: Capsules ovoid, subacute, glabrous. Seeds dark brown, velvety.

Uses: Leaves are used in aphthous affection.  Used against arsenic poisoning and insect and animal bites. uterine tonic
