This App contains information of more than 400 medicinal plants of Kerala, India.
Medicinal plants are valuable sources of herbal products. The station has a herbal garden constituting a collection of more than 400 species of medicinal plants found in Kerala.
The plants in this App are classified and searchable based on their Scientific name, English name, Malayalam name or other characteristics like family, plant habit or from photo gallery.Most of the photographs in this document are from the herbal collection at the research station. A few are collected from various other sources also.
It serves as a reference material on identification, uses and agrotechnology of medicinal plants.
The contents of this mobile application will be revised and updated periodically.

Aromatic and Medicinal Plants Research Station, Odakkali (Kerala Agricultural University)
This is a prime centre for medicinal plants research in Kerala State.The Station was established in 1951 as ‘Lemongrass Breeding Station’.
In 1982, it was renamed as Aromatic and Medicinal Plants Research Station (AMPRS) and research emphasis was diversified to cover all tropical aromatic and medicinal plants.
